Apr. 8th, 2009 07:04 pmWhile I was at work, I was inspired to change the age of my main characters and the setting of my short story to something else. It works (for now, I could come up against roadblocks later). The previous draft left me bleh while I was writing because it all seemed so cheesy. Now it doesn't. Okay, there's some cheese, but the good kind!
As I write the story, I can't help but feel that the changes are right, like they were meant to be. Some of the details have changed beyond the details that needed to change to fit the new age and setting, and that works for me. It fits.
